Let the speed of the train be x km/hr
Now we are given that a man walking at 5 kmph in a direction opposite to that of the train.
Relative speed of train = x+5 kmph
In m/s this relative speed will be (x+5) * 5/18 m/s
Time = 6 sec
Distance = 100m
6 = 100/((x+5)*5/18)
x = 55 m
Hope this will help
