Take the potted plants of same kind keep one plant in a dark room for one or two days to remove starch from leave keep other plant in sunlight now take on leaf from each plant and put few drops in iodine solutions on them a blue black colour will be sack on the leaves on the plant that kept in sunlight this indicate presence starch of leaves no colour will be seen on the leaves of the plant that kept in dark room it means that no starch in these leaves
