First Let us understand what are composite numbers ?
Composite numbers are the natural numbers which are divisible by at least one number
except 1 and itself.
Takig exapmles
15= 3 x 5 ( 15 is divisible by 3 and 5 except 1 and 15 itself)
30=2 x 3 x 5  ( 30 is divisible by 2,3 and 5 except 1 and 30 itself)
 Now note down in
42=2 x 3 x 7
So (i) prime factors of 42 are 2, 3 and 7
(ii)42 is divisible by  42 itself and 1 are also but not included in the prime factors
Thus

In the prime factorization of a composite number
Following are not included

(i) The composite number itself
and (ii) 1
