The round cake was cut with two straight lines from edge to edge. What is the greatest number of pieces you can get ? And what is the smallest number of pieces you can get ? Image attached for the same question

Case 1
2 straight lines can intersect at maximum 1 point, hence dividing the cake in *4* equal/unequal proportions.
Case 2
If they coincide, i.e, lie on each other, minimum divisions will be *2*
