Dear Student

When term have the same algebraic factors, they are like terms.
Then, we have to subtract the like terms
= 3ab–2a^2–2b^2–(5a^2–7ab + 5b^2)
= 3ab–2a^2–2b^2–5a^2+ 7ab–5b^2
= 3ab + 7ab–2a^2–5a^2–2b^2–5b^2
= 10ab–7a^2–7b^2

Thanks
