(i) Land—Bus, truck, train.
(ii) Water—Ship, boat.
(iii) Air—Aeroplane, Helicopter.

Land-- for public transport (bus,train, tram,car,taxi,cycle,other two wheelers etc.)For goods transport (truck,lorry,goods train)Water-- for public transport (boat, ship,steamer, ferry)For goods transport (ships)For military purpose (submarine)Air-- for public transport (aeroplane, helicopter)

Hi 
There are 3 Modes of transport 
They are the following :  
For Land we can use a car ,  bus  etc...
For Water we can use a Boat , Ship etc...
For Air we can use Helicpters , Aerplanes etc..
