What is the cost of tiling a rectangular plot of land 500 m long and 200 m wide at the rate of ₹ 8 per hundred sq m.?

Area of land = length × breadth
= 500 × 200
= 1,00,000 m^2
∴ Cost of tiling1,00,000 sq m of land = (8 × 1,00,000) / 100
= Rs. 8000
