Using the number line write the integer which is : (d) 3 less than -2

In the case of positive numbers , we tend to move backward (toward the negative side) when we say less.
However in this case , since the given number is in negative , we tend to move forward ( toward the psoitive side) when we say less.
Thus the integer which is 3 less than -2 = -2-3 = -5
