I think of a number and on adding 13 to it, I get 27. The equation for this is
(A) x – 27 = 13 (B) x – 13 = 27 (C) x + 27 = 13 (D) x + 13 = 27

Option (D) is correct here.
Let us assume the number be ‘x’,
Then, adding 13 to the number = x + 13
Therefore, x + 13 = 27
