few chocolates have been distributed among 12 students than 8 chocolates remain, and if distributed among 14 students than 10 chocolates remain. Total number of chocolates? calculate it using equation.

X= 14n + 10

Dear Student,
 
Let the total number of chocolates be “x”.
Let the chocolates distributed in 12 students be “a”
 
Therefore, 
x = 12a + 8 ------------- (1)
 
Let the chocolatesd distributed among 14 students be “b”.
THerefore,
x = 14b + 10 ---------------------- (2)
Some information must be missing in the question. Kindly once again check the question and then solve these equations and you will get the answer.
