X= 12m + 8

X= 14n + 10

There must be more information to consider, kindly check

But there are three unknown and two-equation. How we can solve it? I have tried to create the third equation but still not able to solve it.

Dear Student,
 
Let the total number of chocolates be “x”.
Let the chocolates distributed in 12 students be “a”
 
Therefore, 
x = 12a + 8 ------------- (1)
 
Let the chocolatesd distributed among 14 students be “b”.
THerefore,
x = 14b + 10 ---------------------- (2)
Some information must be missing in the question. Kindly once again check the question and then solve these equations and you will get the answer.
