The formula for bandwidth in amplitude modulation (AM) can be expressed as:

Bandwidth (BW) = 2 × (Modulation Frequency) + (Carrier Frequency)

Where:

Bandwidth (BW) is the total bandwidth required for the AM signal.
Modulation Frequency is the frequency of the modulating signal (usually the audio signal).
Carrier Frequency is the frequency of the carrier wave.
In AM, the bandwidth is determined by twice the modulation frequency plus the carrier frequency. This formula helps you calculate the range of frequencies that the AM signal occupies in the frequency spectrum.
