Current Sensitivity

Factors Affecting Current Sensitivity

Voltage Sensitivity

Essentially, it indicates how effectively the galvanometer can convert voltage changes into needle movement.

Relationship Between Current and Voltage Sensitivity

While increasing current sensitivity can enhance the galvanometer's ability to detect small currents, it does not automatically lead to increased voltage sensitivity. This is because:

  • Resistance Impact: A galvanometer with high current sensitivity may have higher internal resistance, which can limit the current for a given voltage.
