Two differences between lyophilic colloids and lyophobic colloids:
- Lyophilic colloids are stable and can be easily dispersed in a solvent, while lyophobic colloids are unstable and tend to separate out of the solvent.
- Lyophilic colloids have a strong affinity for the solvent, whereas lyophobic colloids have little to no affinity for the solvent.
