C. Y-chromosome

Holandric genes are genes located on the Y-chromosome and are passed from father to son. Since sons inherit their Y-chromosome from their fathers, the transmission of traits encoded by holandric genes occurs through the Y-chromosome. This is in contrast to X-linked traits, which are transmitted from mother to son through the X-chromosome.
