A parsec (pc) is a unit of distance used in astronomy, and it is defined as the distance at which 1 astronomical unit (AU) subtends an angle of 1 arcsecond.
A megaparsec (Mpc) is simply one million parsecs.
Thus:
1 megaparsec=1,000,000 parsecs1 \, \text{megaparsec} = 1,000,000 \, \text{parsecs}
So, there are 1,000,000 parsecs in a megaparsec.
