The relation between the velocity of a wave (v), its wavelength (λ), and its frequency (f) is given by the wave equation:

v = λ * f

Where:

v is the velocity of the wave, measured in meters per second (m/s).
λ (lambda) is the wavelength of the wave, measured in meters (m).
f is the frequency of the wave, measured in hertz (Hz).
This equation is known as the wave equation and is fundamental in understanding the behavior of waves. It tells us that the velocity of a wave is equal to the product of its wavelength and frequency. In other words, if you know the wavelength and frequency of a wave, you can calculate its velocity, and vice versa.

For example, if you have a wave with a wavelength of 2 meters and a frequency of 50 Hz, you can calculate its velocity as:

v = 2 m * 50 Hz = 100 m/s

So, the velocity of the wave in this case is 100 meters per second. This equation is applicable to various types of waves, such as electromagnetic waves (like light and radio waves) and mechanical waves (like sound waves).
