Frequency and Wavelength in Sound
Frequency refers to the number of sound wave cycles that occur in one second, measured in hertz (Hz). A higher frequency means a higher pitch, while a lower frequency results in a lower pitch. Wavelength, on the other hand, is the distance between two consecutive points of a wave, such as from crest to crest or trough to trough. In sound, a longer wavelength corresponds to a lower frequency and pitch.
