The boiling point of a substance is influenced by several factors:

Pressure: The boiling point increases with an increase in external pressure. This is why water boils at a lower temperature at higher altitudes where the atmospheric pressure is lower, and at a higher temperature in a pressure cooker.

Intermolecular Forces: Stronger intermolecular forces (like hydrogen bonds or Van der Waals forces) result in a higher boiling point because more energy is required to break these forces. For instance, water (which has strong hydrogen bonds) has a higher boiling point compared to many other substances with weaker intermolecular forces.
