cis,trans-isomer: In this isomer, one benzaldehyde group is on the same side as one other benzaldehyde group, while the other benzaldehyde group is on the opposite side of the C=C double bond in the central acetone unit.

These geometric isomers arise due to the restricted rotation around the C=C double bond in the central acetone unit, leading to different spatial arrangements of the benzaldehyde groups.
