The shape of a carbonium ion is A) Planar.

Carbonium ions are carbocations, which are positively charged carbon species with an empty p orbital. The three substituents around the positively charged carbon atom are arranged in a planar fashion. Due to the empty p orbital, the carbon atom can form a planar trigonal carbocation. This planar arrangement allows for stabilization of the positive charge through resonance with adjacent pi bonds or lone pairs.
