No, FCC (Face-Centered Cubic) and CCP (Close-Packed Cubic) are not the same, but they are related terms often used in the context of crystal structures.

Close-Packed Cubic (CCP) refers to a crystal structure in which the atoms are arranged in a close-packed manner. In a CCP structure, each atom has 12 nearest neighbors arranged at the vertices of an octahedron.

Face-Centered Cubic (FCC) is a specific type of CCP structure. In an FCC lattice, in addition to the close-packed layers, there are atoms at the center of each face of the unit cell. This arrangement results in a cubic unit cell with atoms at each corner and at the center of each face.

So, while all FCC structures are CCP, not all CCP structures are FCC.
