Transpiration, while essential for plants, can also have disadvantages:

Water Loss: Transpiration is the process by which water evaporates from the plant's leaves through stomata. While this helps in cooling the plant and facilitating nutrient uptake, excessive transpiration can lead to significant water loss. In dry or hot conditions, this can stress the plant and affect its growth and overall health.

Nutrient Imbalance: Transpiration creates a suction force (tension) that pulls water and nutrients up from the roots to the leaves. If transpiration rates are high and water availability is limited, plants may struggle to maintain a balance of nutrients and water. This can lead to nutrient deficiencies, affecting various physiological processes and overall plant vigor.
