Cell Division (Mitosis or Meiosis): Cells are typically formed from pre-existing cells through cell division:

Mitosis: This process is involved in the growth and repair of somatic (body) cells. It results in two daughter cells that are genetically identical to the parent cell.
Meiosis: This process occurs in specialized cells (germ cells) involved in sexual reproduction. It results in four daughter cells, each with half the number of chromosomes of the parent cell (gametes: sperm and eggs).
Cell Cycle: Before division, cells go through a series of growth phases collectively known as the cell cycle. This includes interphase (G1, S, G2 phases) where the cell grows, duplicates its DNA (in S phase), and prepares for division.

Cell Differentiation: After division, cells may undergo differentiation where they become specialized for specific functions. This process is regulated by genetic and environmental factors and leads to the formation of different types of cells in the body (e.g., muscle cells, nerve cells).

Formation of Organelles: Within the cell, organelles such as the nucleus, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, etc., are formed through processes like synthesis of proteins, lipids, and other molecules, as well as assembly of structural components.
