An example of a flying mammal is the bat. Bats are the only mammals that possess true flight capabilities. They have adapted wings, which are formed by elongated finger bones covered by a thin membrane of skin. This structure allows them to maneuver and fly in various ways, such as gliding, hovering, and even sustained flight. Bats are known for their incredible agility and ability to navigate in complete darkness using echolocation. With over 1,400 species found worldwide, bats are a diverse group of flying mammals.
