No, viruses do not have cell membranes. Unlike cells, which are considered the basic unit of life and have a cell membrane that encloses their internal components, viruses are acellular entities. They consist of genetic material (either DNA or RNA) surrounded by a protein coat called a capsid. Some viruses may also have an outer lipid envelope acquired from the host cell membrane during the process of budding out of the host cell. However, this envelope is not considered a true cell membrane because it lacks the complex structure and functions characteristic of cell membranes.
