No, plant cells do not have lysosomes. Lysosomes are membrane-bound organelles found in animal cells and some protists. They contain digestive enzymes that break down waste materials, cellular debris, and foreign substances through a process called hydrolysis.

In plant cells, a similar function to lysosomes is performed by vacuoles. Plant cells typically have one or several large central vacuoles, which are membrane-bound sacs filled with cell sap. Vacuoles in plant cells have various roles, including storage of water, nutrients, and waste products, as well as the degradation of macromolecules. Although vacuoles are involved in cellular digestion, they differ in structure and function from lysosomes found in animal cells.
