Butane has two isomers: n-butane (also known as normal butane) and isobutane (also known as 2-methylpropane). Here are their structural formulas:

n-Butane:
CH3-CH2-CH2-CH3

Isobutane:
CH3
|
CH3-CH-CH3
|
CH3

In n-butane, all carbon atoms are in a straight chain, while in isobutane, one of the carbon atoms is branched off the main chain.
