Hydrogen peroxide is a highly reactive metal that can react with light or heat to produce water. To prevent it’s reaction with light and heat to make water it is stored in coloured bottles so that light does’nt pass through it.

y plastic bottles or glass bottles coated with wax are used instead. The brown tint of the bottle prevents light being absorbed by the solution, preventing the oxidation and reduction reaction. prevent the loss of ions from the essential content

Hydrogen peroxide is stored in colored bottles to cut off the supply of sunlight as when it is exposed to sunlight, following the photochemical decompose, it gets decomposed into H2O and O2.

Hydrogen peroxide is always stored in dark plastic containers away from sunlight because in the presence of warm conditions and UV light hydrogen peroxide can decompose into water and oxygen because the oxygen oxygen bond in molecule is unstable.
