Why bronze is preferred over copper metal for making statues.

Bronze metal is harder and more malleable than copper (Cu). The statues are mostly made up of Bronze, because it conducts property of ductility. One reason is that bronze is much cheaper than copper. As statues are generally kept in open environments, they are subjected to water and air, that may lead to corrosion.
