the correct option is C

The stratified squamous epithelium is avascular ( lacks blood vessels ) tissue in which germinative (basal)  layer consists of cuboidal and columnar cells with oval nuclei and which divides by mitosis to form new cells. The new cells shift outward but in middle layers, the cells become polyhedral with rounded nuclei and are called as intermediate layers whereas in superficial layers cells become flat with transversely elongated nuclei and are called as squamous layers. It is of two types: keratinized and non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelium Tendon, skeletal muscle and adipose tissue all are the types of connective tissues which are generally well supplied with blood vessels i.e., vascular.
