When light undergoes refraction, its frequency remains unchanged. Refraction is the bending of light as it passes from one medium to another, such as from air to water or from air to glass. The speed of light changes as it moves from one medium to another, but its frequency remains constant. According to the wave theory of light, the frequency of a light wave is determined by the source and does not change during refraction. However, the wavelength of light does change as it travels through different media with different refractive indices.
