A centrosome is a cellular organelle found in animal cells, typically near the nucleus. It consists of two centrioles and a surrounding matrix of proteins called pericentriolar material. Centrosomes are crucial for organizing microtubules, which are part of the cell's cytoskeleton and play a key role in cell division, cell shape, and intracellular transport. During cell division, centrosomes migrate to opposite ends of the cell and serve as the organizing centers for the formation of the spindle apparatus, which helps separate chromosomes.

Centriole:
A centriole is a cylindrical, microtubule-based organelle found within the centrosome. Centrioles are composed of nine triplets of microtubules arranged in a cylindrical shape. They play a vital role in cell division and also serve as the basis for the formation of cilia and flagella, which are hair-like structures involved in cell movement and sensory functions. Centrioles are duplicated before cell division, and the new pair of centrioles move to opposite poles of the cell to form the centrosomes.
