Otorhinolaryngology, also known as ENT (ear, nose, and throat) or otolaryngology, is a medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders related to the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck. It encompasses the study and management of conditions affecting the ears (including hearing loss and balance disorders), the nasal cavity and sinuses, the oral cavity and throat, the larynx (voice box), and other structures in the head and neck region. Otorhinolaryngologists are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including infections, tumors, congenital disorders, and functional impairments related to these areas.
