AN IMAGE MAY BE DEFINED AS THE POINT WHERE LIGHT RAYS COMING FROM AN OBJECT MEET OR APPEARS TO MEET.
TYPES: REAL AND VIRTUAL
A REAL IMAGE IF FORMED WHEN LIGHT RAYS COMING FROM OBJECT ACTUALLY MEET EACH OTHER. A REAL IMAGE CAN BE OBTAINED ON SCREEN. IT IS ALWAYS INVERTED

A VIRTUAL IMAGE IS FORMED WHEN LIGHT RAYS COMING FROM AN OBJECT APPEARS TO MEET AT A POINT BUT THEY DO NOT ACTUALLY MEET THERE, THE VIRTUAL IMAGE IS ALWAYS ERECT. WHEN WE STAND IN FROMT OF A MIRROR AT HOME, IMAGE FORMED IS VIRTUAL

THANKS
HOPE THIS CLEARS THE DOUBT
