What is current element?please could anyone help me out

suppose that some amount of current is flowing in a straight wire , then u desire to measure the magnetic field in some parts of the wire , then the area of the praticular parts of wire in which u want to measure is current element . 
that means the small area of cross section of a wire which in which the electrons are flowing and it constitutes current is known as current element . 
THEY WILL USE IN THE BIOT SAVARTS LAW AND AMPERE CIRCUITAL LAW IN CLASS 12 TO CALCULATE THE MAGNETIC FIELD AROUND A WIRE .
