We should closely examine the use of mirrors and lenses in our daily life. Convex Mirror may be a curved mirror where the reflective surface bulges out towards the sunshine source. Concave mirrors also are referred to as a converging mirror since the rays converge after falling on the concave mirror. Complete answer: a) Headlights of car: concave sort of mirror is employed in headlights because the light of lamps undergoes divergence from the reflector surface and canopy large area within the front. b) Solar Furnace: it's a concave mirror. As sun rays after mirror reflection from its surface, get converged at focus which produces much intense heat. The type of mirror utilized in both situations is a concave mirror. Additional Information: Solar/rear view of vehicle: it is a convex mirror because it gives diminished, virtual and an erect image of the side or rear with a wider field of view. A convex mirror enables the driver to seem at a much larger area than would be possible with a plane mirror. So in the rearview mirror the most suitable mirror is convex. A concave mirror is also used by dentists, to observe a magnified image of the tooth. As we all know, a concave mirror forms a virtual, erect, and magnified image. Convex lens: 1) A convex lens is used in microscopes and hand glass. 2) A convex lens is used as a camera lens in cameras. 3) The convex mirror is used as a side-view mirror. Concave lens: 1) They're placed in telescopes and binoculars. 2) They're utilized in doors as a peephole. 3) They're utilized in flashlights, cameras, etc. Note: Convex Mirror could also be a curved mirror where the sunshine diverges. Concave mirrors are also mentioned as a converging mirror since the rays converge after falling on the concave mirror. We should not have any doubt within the difference between the concave and the convex mirror.
