In soap micelles, the correct statement is:

A. The ionic end of the soap is on the surface of the cluster while the carbon chain is in the interior of the cluster.

Soap molecules have a hydrophilic (water-attracting) ionic end and a hydrophobic (water-repelling) carbon chain. In water, soap molecules arrange themselves in micelles, with the hydrophilic ionic end facing outward and the hydrophobic carbon chain facing inward. This arrangement allows soap molecules to form micelles with the hydrophilic ends facing the surrounding water (the exterior of the cluster) and the hydrophobic tails shielded in the interior of the cluster, away from water. This helps to emulsify and remove oils and dirt from surfaces when you use soap for cleaning.
