How does the embryo get nourishment from its mothers body?

Dear Student

The embryo grows inside the mothers womb and gets nourishment from its mothers blood through placenta. Placenta contains villi which connects the embryo with the mothers blood. These villi provides a large surface area for glucose and oxygen to pass from mother to the embryo.
