A time zone is a region of the globe that observes a uniform standard time.
Earth is divided into 24 time zones. Stanford Fleming was first to propose a standard time which has a single 24-hour clock for the entire world, located at the centre of the Earth, not linked to any surface meridian.
There are 360 longitudes and these longitudes are divided into 24 time zones.
In order to divide 24 time zones from 360 longitudes, 15 degree can be counted as one hour.
360/15=24
And 1 degree is equal to 4 minutes.
