The edible seeds or grains belonging to the grass family are known as cereals. The example of cereals include rice, wheat, maize, barley, millet and sorghum which are cultivated in different parts of the world. The cereals also contain sugars like maltose, fructose and sucrose but in very low concentrations. Lipids are only present in very few amounts in cereals. Therefore, the correct answer is option D.
