debroglie put forward the concept of dual nature of particle , that is the wave and the particle nature , and he proposed the formula for the wavelength of the particle as well as for the microscopic poarticle . 
acc to the formula 
lambda = h/p 
where lambda is the wavelength , and h is the plancks constant , and p is the momentum. 
u can write momentum = m * v ( mass * velocity ) 
as nature prefers symmetry , so , due to that he gave the dual nature of particle .
