Redox reactions are those reactions which involves the transfer of electrons from one speciec to another.Both oxidation and reduction reactions occurs simultaneously.Yes redox reactions can be double displacement reactions.
Double displacement reaction is one of the type of diplacement reactions which in further is a type of redox reactions.Displacement reactions are aslo known as replacement reactions,inolves compounds and the ‘replacing’ of elements.They can be single or double displacement.
Double displacement reaction involves replacing two elements in the reactants with two in the products.For ex-
Fe2O3 + 6HCl ----------> 2FeCl3 + 3H2O
In the above reaction Fe,H change places and O,Cl change places.
