There are several types of chemicalreactions: Synthesis, decomposition, single replacement, double-replacement, combustion and acid-base. ... When a change in oxidation number occurs in a reaction, with both an increase in number and a decrease in number, then the reaction is classified as redox. Hence any reaction can be redox reaction.
