The Solar constant is the measure of radiation energy received from the Sun per unit of area per unit of time, that would be incident on a plane perpendicular to the Sun’s rays and at Earth’s mean distance from the Sun (roughly the mean distance from the Sun to the Earth). Therefore is a constant and the value of this constant is approximately 1.368 KW/m2.This constant actually varies by about 0.3% over the 11-year solar cycle but averages about 1,368 W/m2. It is most accurately measured from satellites where atmosphere effects are absent.
