Allied (or co-interior) angles are supplementary. If two parallel lines are cut by a transversal .The anglesformed: z and x (or u and v) are alternate angles. x and y are corresponding angles. u and x (or z and v) are called as allied (or co-interior) angles.

Allied angle is an angle pair, which is created by transversal line. Now question arises what are allied angles? We assume a transversal line GH, which intersect two straight lines PQ and RS and create 8 angles on both Straight Line PQ and RS:

When two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, the interior opposite angles on the same side of the transversal are called allied or co-interior angles.
