I am assuming that you must be asking about sin theta. Sin theta is basically one of the trigonometric ratio which establishes the relationship between the sides of the triangle. there are three basic trigonometric ratios namely sin theta, cos theta and tan theta, where theta is the angle. teh reciprocals of these ratios are respectively cosec theta, sec theta and cot theta.
sin theta = P/ H, i.e. perpendicular / Hypotenuse
