The sum of four consecutive terms in an ap is 32 product of their extremes and means is in the ratio 7:15 .why can`t I take it as a-d,a+d,a-2d and a+2d.i did it this way and got a as 8 will I get some marks?

When 4 consecutive terms are there which are in AP, then you should take a-3d, a-d, a+d and a+3d as the four consecutive terms.
The terms you have taken is not an AP, so your answer is wrong.
