writing the question in equation format we get

((x-1)^2 + (y-0)^2 )^0.5 + ((x+1)^2 + (y-0)^2)^0.5 = 4

simplifying we get

179-2219_MSP61f99dc50ag0c3g1g000010e36c4h1ca4dbdg.gif

(4y^2)/3 = 4-x^2
(y^2)/3 + (x^2)/4 = 1

HENCE PROVED
