one of the easiest ways to solve this ques would be to assume a coordinate plane having origin at A and x axis along the line AB with y axis perpendicular to it.
assume coordinates of B as (3c,0) and coordinates of C as (3a,3b).
obviously area of ABC is ½*3c*3b= 9bc/2
now to find the area of PQR, we shall find the coordinates of P, Q and R and then apply the formula \frac{1}{2}(x1(y2-y3)+x2(y3-y1)+x3(y1-y2))
we can find the coordinates of P, for instance by determining the point of intersection of lines AE and CD. but how do we find the equations of AE and CD? well thats easily done by the two point form of line. on CD we already have the coordinates of C and to find coordinates of D we can apply the section formula on points A and B as we are given the D divides them in the ratio 1:2. similarly for all the points. though this would be lengthy but the answer would be correct :)
