Let f(x)= (a-b)x^2+(b-c)x+(c-a)
Clearly, f(1)= a-b+b-c+c-a
So f(1)= 0
Hence 1 is a root of the eq. f(x)= 0
Since both roots are equal, they must be 1 and 1.
Now, we apply the sum of roots formula (vietas formula):
1+1= -(b-c)/(a-b)
Or 2a-2b= c-b
Hence 2a= b+c
